A "Mammoth" adventure

We took a a 5 hour hike today: Lake George-Mammoth Crest-
NW along the huge wall of the crest you see from our condo window for about 1.5 miles and then down this huge notch (about 1000 ft drop) - E to McCloud Lake at the top of Mammoth Pass - E to Horseshoe Lake- E over a steep hill to L George again.

Habitat For Humanity

This week I worked at Habitat in Tucson...I wanted to swing a hammer but ended up emptying trash (a humbling experience), providing parking lot security (my weight lifting is paying off!) and best of all, selling T-Shirts (I had people actually trying them on as if it were a retail store-haha)...as you can see there was a row of new units going up...this project is an entire city block. Some of the previous recipients are in there building homes for the new residents and we had a large group from the women's prison (wearing orange) we were not supposed to talk to them but by the time I knew the rule I already had one conversation under my belt. I am going back on 9/27 with a group from my office to work on our specific house, Lot 11. I was lucky enough to meet two of the residents, they were so nice and so grateful! If you ever get a chance to do this I highly recommend it!!
